The FUCHS Winternationals has kicked off at Willowbank Raceway under blue skies today before 16 of the sport's stars headed to Redbank Plaza for a free community fan night.

With more than 400 racers and an estimated 30,000 spectators set to visit the Raceway by the close of proceedings Sunday, the FUCHS Winternationals is the largest championship drag racing event held outside of the USA.

Qualifying for a number of sportsman categories hit the track today, with Junior Dragster and Prime Signs/Speed Elec Super Street completing all of their qualifying runs today with Caleb Oberg and Shawn Taskis top qualifying for their respective brackets.
